Auditions

Important Information

  • Live auditions for the Fall Season will take place on Monday, June 8th, 2026. After registration is complete, additional information will be emailed regarding signing up for audition times. These auditions will not be blind.
  • Alternate Audition Days: If you cannot attend the primary audition day, please register normally and select one of the two alternative days that we added to give more options for our students with busy summer schedules: June 22nd or August 3rd
  • We believe that orchestra is for everyone and are confident that any student who is brave enough to go through the live audition process will find a place in this program. Auditions are solely for seating assignments and placement within the orchestras based on ability demonstrated. Make sure to look at the requirements for auditions and speak with your teacher to assess which ensemble is a good match for you. We want to place you in the ensemble that best meets your skill level and where you will grow and thrive.

Fees

  • Tuition
    • $225 (By semester) / $400 (Full year)
    • Audition Fee: $30
  • Early Bird discount
    • Register and submit payment by July 1st 2026 and receive the Early Bird Tuition rate of $375 (only applies when paying for Full Year Tuition)
  • Sibling Discounts
    • Families enrolling multiple students in Chattanooga Strings for the full academic year receive reduced tuition rates:
      • 2 siblings $750
      • 3 siblings $1050
      • 4 siblings $1300
      • 5 siblings $1500

Payment Instructions:

  • To Pay online, use the following link to make your payment. It will direct to the make a payment via Paypal to the School of Fine Arts at First Baptist Church. *Important* In the transaction notes please include the words “Chattanooga Strings”, your students name, and the items you are paying for (i.e.: Tuition (early bird rate) $375 + Audition Fee $30)
