Important Information
- The second round of live auditions will take place on Monday, August 18th. After registration is complete, additional information will be emailed regarding signing up for audition times. These auditions will not be blind.
- The workshop on Friday, August 8th (please note the date change) will provide students with orchestra music practice techniques, advice on preparing for and taking auditions, ensemble warm-up procedures, and an immediate opportunity to play together. The workshop will also introduce students to the space where rehearsals and concerts will take place, as well as other Chattanooga Strings students. Lunch will be provided and the workshop will conclude with a mini performance.
- We believe that orchestra is for everyone and are confident that any student who is brave enough to go through the live audition process will find a place in this program. Auditions are solely for seating assignments and placement within the orchestras based on ability demonstrated. Make sure to look at the requirements for auditions and speak with your teacher to assess which ensemble is a good match for you. We want to place you in the ensemble that best meets your skill level and where you will grow and thrive.
